ANNA'S FELLOWSHIP

Anna was the prophetess in the temple praying and fasting awaiting the birth of the Messiah. She had been a widow since 7 years after the wedding, which amounted to many years, approximately 90. She was the daughter of Phanuel of the tribe Asher. I would like to share that Asher means “happiness.”  In honor of Anna I have chosen the name “Anna’s Fellowship” for this page which is to minister to those of us who are widows and widowers.

As the HOLY SPIRIT directs I will encourage, share and communicate my journey and allow you to share yours. I am Joy Cyrulik, widowed August 30, 2014 while we (David) and I celebrated our forty-eighth wedding anniversary at Disney World; he died quickly of a heart attack. The journey was not one of my choosing, but I know GOD is with me and holding my hand along this path. Just two days after my husband David, went home to heaven, I was awakened and began to hear in my spirit, GOD speaking to me about a ministry for widows.

Many years prior I had been given the burden to pray for widows and widowers. I had been doing this all along, but with the recent passing of my husband I felt called to do so even more. I also felt called to create “Anna’s Fellowship.”

GOD seemed to tell me I had been sowing into lives through prayer and now I would harvest what I needed in these hours, days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Now after some months I am ready to begin. First GOD had lead me to my sister-in-law, Brenda Potts, for help with this ministry; which she is doing and has done since I asked her weeks ago. It has been difficult for me to get started but here we are, the first writing of I hope many and I pray they will be healing for me and for all of you as we travel on this journey in “Anna’s Fellowship.”

For more about Anna read Luke 2:36-38
