WHEN IT MAKES NO SENSE

When a loved one passes away unexpectedly it is difficult to make sense of it. We ask why. Why did God let this happen? Did GOD let this happen? Was it just life? Was it bad luck? GOD saved us many times from bad situations during our life, so why didn’t He intervene this time? Why has He forsaken me?

We look for logical answers to explain an unexpected death. It’s human nature. We are often left bewildered, questioning our faith. We become angry with GOD for not granting our prayers; for taking away something so precious.

We get caught in events beyond our control and struggle with being forced into situations we did not ask for. It seems unfair, sometimes cruel. We didn’t ask for this. We didn’t do anything to deserve this. Why is this happening to me?

The circumstances of life can be difficult. We struggle to understand what we are supposed to do next. GOD’s plans for our life or your loved one’s life may make you feel like a pawn in the struggle between God and satan. You didn’t ask to be part of this, but here you are. You are part of the work to fulfill something more significant than yourself.

Only GOD knows why the righteous are cut short, while the wicked seem to prosper. We do know that what seems unfair now will be set right in eternity. Questions will be answered. GOD gives us authority over the devil but we do not always understand our authority and exercise it. JESUS CHRIST defeated satan completely and triumphed over him and JESUS lives in us. Satan will struggle with GOD until the end. Our struggle will go on until the end of this age but we will get total understanding and victory one day. Satan only has a little while compared to GOD and our eternity. One day satan will be totally gone.

I do not believe GOD can or will do anything but good to HIS children. God gave Adam authority in the garden over all. Adam gave it up to satan when he sinned (Eve too). JESUS the second Adam, bought it back for us; when we receive JESUS we have HIM living on the inside and we have authority over the devil. Unfortunately we do not completely understand that we have nothing to achieve. We only need to recognize and believe the authority we have in CHRIST!

We must continue to work for good, in spite of often unbearable pain. Place your trust in GOD. Believe He loves you. Let Him heal your broken heart. Let Him bring you closer. Let others see your journey with GOD through this difficult time. Your life will serve as a ministry to others.
